Bottoms: questions we get

What does low rise actually mean?

The waistband sits below the navel, usually on the hip bone. High waisted sits at or above the navel. Both are in this department and both are named, because the difference is several inches and it changes everything.

Do the jeans stretch?

Denim with elastane does and says so. Rigid denim does not, and it sits closer to its stated measurements. Where stretch is not stated, treat the piece as rigid.

Which shorts are longest?

Bermuda and long denim shorts sit at or near the knee. The rest run shorter. Where the maker publishes an inseam, it is on the card.
