Outerwear

Outerwear is the layer that gets judged from across a room, and the one people keep longest. This department runs from a ribbed cardigan you throw over a cami to a blazer that squares off an outfit.

Weight is the thing to check. A knit that looks warm in a photograph can be a summer weight, and a lined jacket in the same picture can be twice as heavy. Where the maker publishes a weight or a lining, it is on the card.
